Vintage Motors brings you,From 1937 the Buick Opera Coupe,Legendary General Motors stylist Harly Earl revisited the Art Deco styling cues of the the Buick range with a divided grill featuring horizontal bars, gracefully streamlined headlamp surrounds, and bumpers with squared-off ends.Using a model name from a decade earlier, the Opera Coupe, popular with mobsters and socialites alike, his swoopy and decadent 1937 model was aimed at, pretty much, the same audience. They were so stylish and had such presence that they became the chosen transport for many celebrities of the day. The stunning example offered here is the two door Opera Coupe with the opposing "opera" rear seats, and is the epitome of Earl's extravagant deco styling and the known build quality of McLaughlin.Only some three hundred or so models were produced and it's thought that only a handful remain today. It was a stylish and technically innovative car with light controls and good power from its straight eight engine.A good running and driving Collectable Classic at a very reasonable price.
